Sami Steigmann’s Story

Steigmann, born in 1939 in Czernowitz (then Romania, now Ukraine), was deported as a toddler with his parents to a Nazi labor camp in the Transnistria region (Mogilev-Podolsky). Too young to work, he was subjected to medical experiments that left him with lifelong chronic pain in his head, neck, and back. He credits his survival to simple luck and never being separated from his parents. During two years in the former Soviet Union, a German woman risked everything by providing milk and food that helped keep him alive.

He later emigrated to Israel, served as a mechanic in the Israeli Air Force, and has spent decades as a motivational speaker educating audiences about the Holocaust, hope, and the dangers of hatred. In the video he reflects on the rising antisemitism he witnesses today—especially on American campuses—and says he never imagined he would see such things again in his lifetime. He remains an optimist, expressing belief that peace in the Middle East will eventually come, and notes the profound moment of seeing a Jewish policeman upon arriving in Israel after the war, which made him feel truly at home.

Yoni Diller’s Story

Diller recounts the chaos of the Nova Festival attack. He realized something was wrong when he saw a young woman named Shani wounded by gunfire. She and others had taken refuge in an ambulance; most were killed when a Hamas terrorist fired an RPG at the vehicle. Diller and friends then fled on foot through the desert for roughly five hours with no food or water. He still carries vivid memories and nightmares of that day, particularly of Shani.

Shared Reflections

Both men speak about the psychological aftermath- nightmares that persist years (or decades) later. Steigmann emphasizes that survival in extreme circumstances almost always comes down to luck, and that the responsibility to prevent future tragedies falls to the next generations. The two survivors note how much they have in common despite the vast difference in their ages and the specific horrors they endured. They end on a note of mutual respect and cautious hope.

The video’s power lies in its rawness. It is not a formal lecture or polished documentary, but a conversation between two men who lived through attempts to erase Jewish life- one under the Nazis in Europe, the other under Hamas in Israel -and who refuse to let those experiences define them solely as victims. Steigmann’s broader public comments (including statements that the deliberate, recorded brutality of October 7 exceeded even the Nazis) underscore the video’s urgency.

In an era when Holocaust memory is fading and October 7 denial or minimization circulates, this dialogue serves as living testimony. It reminds viewers that “Never Again” is not a slogan frozen in the past: it’s a present-tense responsibility carried by survivors of both eras, and by all who listen to them.

Remember this man's voice and his harrowing warning: “EVEN THE NAZIS WERE NOT THAT BRUTAL”.

We have been patient too long. We talked peace, shook hands, and hoped for better days while they kept burying our people. That time is now finished.

Now is the time for a revival of our own traditions and a clear rejection of the invading worldview that seeks to replace us all with backwards people subservient to an evil ideology.

Any sect or faction inside the Umma that stands up and completely denounces the Neo-Nazi ideology known as Palestinianism and completely denounces terroristic jihad in every form… they may step forward.

If such a group exists, let them come into the light and say it. Let them speak without fear of the terrorists who will brand them traitors. We will listen and judge by their actions, not only their words.

But if no one steps up—if silence is all we hear—then we know what that silence means. You are with the terrorists. If you will not pledge to join the fight against them, we will treat you as part of the threat.

We Jews have been the special target for generations. Pogroms, intifadas, the same ancient hatred dressed in new clothes. But it is not only us. Look to the Christians driven from their homes and churches in Africa and the Middle East. Look to Hindus slaughtered in their temples. Look to every free people who still want to raise their children without brutal sadistic religious totalitarianism.

This is not a Jewish fight alone. It is the fight of every non-Muslim who refuses to kneel. Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, ordinary men and women who still believe life and freedom matter, stand with us. The Umma has made itself the enemy of the free world. It's high time the free world answered as one.

And don't think we have forgotten about the Leftists who have facilitated the invasion of the West. They foolishly believe that the alligator will eat them last, and, much like the Leftists who helped the Islamic militants rise to power in Iran, they too will be slaughtered en masse if our side loses. Their suicidal empathy and hatred of the West and their egregious misunderstanding of what is “capitalism” has warped their minds beyond repair. Therefore, they are also considered enemies in this Cold War and shall be boycotted, shamed and opposed at every opportunity.

We do not want their land or their holy places. They, however, are willing to kill for ours. We want the end of the lie that we can live side by side with absolutely savage chauvinists while they keep raping, brutalizing and killing. From this day we stay awake. We prepare. We answer force with force when we must.

The Cold War begins now. It will not end until the threat is over.

Calling the Western pro-Palestine crowd “Jew-haters” or “antisemites” is a waste of breath. It doesn’t land. It doesn’t stick. The reason is simple, they don’t even fully understand what a Jew is. What they really hate is Judaism.

Most of them do not hold an ethnic view of Jews as inherently inferior the way large segments of the Arab world historically and currently do. They are not operating from classical racial hierarchy in that sense. Instead they gaslight you with the classic line, “Oh I don’t hate Jewish people, see, my friend here is a Jew and she hates Israel.” Smile, nod, moral high ground claimed. Conversation over, in their feeble minds.

I don’t mince words. I tell them directly: you hate Judaism. They can’t really argue with that, because it is true and it cuts through the fog. They are products of a triangular brainwash I break down in my new book The Führer’s New Clothes. They have been trained to reject all tradition, embrace the new ethos, and treat anyone who refuses that narrative as the enemy. Racism is officially the ultimate bad guy in their moral universe, so even when racist feelings sit in their hearts they cannot connect those feelings to their actual behavior. They want to believe they are fighting racism, even while they single out the one ethnoreligious group that has been the historic target of actual white supremacists.

There are vanishingly few old-school white supremacists left with any real power. Hell, there's not even that many white people anymore. So the only visible demographic still somewhat maintaining their traditions, practicing general endogamy, and generally not ashamed of their Nation had to be recast as the new white supremacists. Never mind that most Jews are not white in almost any definition of the term. The inversion is the point.

These people don't hate that you're a Jew, they hate that you're Jewish.

In the Socialist worldview it is acceptable for one to be a Jew, at least for the time being, as long as they don't put too much stock in it, but it's not acceptable to live as a Jew.

That is why it is frankly more accurate, and more effective, to call them neo-Nazis than Jew-haters.

To the untrained ear the two labels may sound interchangeable. They are not. The original Nazis operated under a specific aesthetic, specific slogans, and a coherent worldview. The modern version has a different aesthetic and different slogans, and a somewhat incoherent worldview but the totalitarian approach is exactly the same.

You see, the basis of national socialism is not just being racist but it’s an entire world view which views the individual as a product of his Nation, which in national socialism is defined as the person’s race. This is different from fascism where the individual is viewed as a product of the state and all things are within the state. In national socialism, the system of socialism is only a temporary means to accomplish the goals of enforcing the racial hierarchy. Sound familiar?

This is again why we say that the DSA are neo-Nazis. To DSA types, Socialism is only a temporary means to accomplish the goal of enforcing the racial hierarchy that the DSA believes in. The only thing is it’s a hierarchy in a different order than the original Nazis, but a hierarchy all the same. The end goal, per DSA literature and responsa, is stated as full communism, which is an admittance that they are using socialism as a temporary means. And of course let’s not forget that every element of DSA thought is steeped in racial hierarchy, with a goal to invert the perceived white supremacist system that is portrayed in Critical Race Theory.

Keep in mind CRT has no awareness of biology, much like the transgender movement, so they have created their racial hierarchy based primarily off of skin color and lifestyle rather than actual racial background. Meaning, someone who is not racially white but has light skin and is somewhat assimilated into Western culture will be generally considered white in CRT, whereas traditional white supremacists would have considered that person a minority and of a lower status regardless of self identification. The new Whites, regardless of their very recent induction into the White race, are still considered responsible for all of history’s past societal ills done by white racists. The Fourth Reich will be like the Third Reich, but upside down. They’re weird neo-Nazis, not regular Jew haters.

Yes they hate 95 percent of Jews, so they do qualify as Jew haters, but that won’t resonate in their minds because they don’t fully understand what Jew hate is because they don’t understand what it means to be a Jew. Rather than viewing Zionism as a sacred Jewish tradition being expressed in a modern political sphere, they just view it as a general tradition. It’s just something that’s old and everything old is bad. This is the reason why they also hate Christians. Islam is the newest of the three major world religions, so, for now at least, they deem that one acceptable because it's revolutionary in its claim of abrogating all past texts. You see, they dovetail with the Muslims in believing that the eternal sometimes needs to be rewritten.

These are the next generation of yippies who believe that the true revolution begins when you kill your parents. Things that are new are considered good. If we could just convince them that some type of futuristic Zionism was the cool new thing then they would all follow that like zombies instead. All jokes aside, the reality is that these people hate tradition and ours is the oldest and longest standing tradition and therefore it’s the biggest target.

The national socialists of the Third Reich also believed themselves to be revolutionaries. They were not conservatives or traditionalists although they invoked radical traditionalism as an aesthetic, they were not living traditional lifestyles. Much like the DSA, the original Nazis were often found cavorting in women’s clothing, doing drugs, etc.

Here’s the interesting part. They all identify themselves as anti-fascist because they think Mussolini was a bad guy. Yet they embrace and echo so much of classical Roman fascism. Look at the pain these pro-Palestine activists inflict, many of them members of DSA and JVP and similar organizations. They smash up synagogues, vandalize Jewish property, businesses, and college campuses. Compare that to the Romans sacking the Temple, the Nazis dispossessing Jews and other enemies of the state, and the Soviet shakedowns of anyone labeled an enemy of the people. Same pattern, different slogans. Destroy the sacred spaces, seize or wreck the property, declare the targets enemies of the new order, whatever that order is this year.

So let’s stop calling them antisemites, which is a German based word that was made as a polite replacement for judenhass, Jew hate, and which we should stop using in general, but call them what they truly are: neo-Nazis.

They hate Jewish tradition, they hate traditional Judaism, and much like other historical religiously based Jew hate, they will overlook their hatred once the Jew submits and joins their cult, even if under threat of death.

These are not the old Nazis. This demon is trying to usurp all of humanity in its vision, not just a specific “Master Race”. Rather than gassing Jews like the original Nazis did, they have developed a method of sublimating the Jews. The Jews themselves become the gas, without first having to melt. Psychologically speaking, it's a twisted version of a subconscious defense mechanism that transforms “socially unacceptable” impulses into “socially acceptable” actions, which in normal psychology would actually be a good and potentially productive thing. The issue is, we're talking about a sadistic Neo-Nazi cult which has attempted to normalize terroristic violence, including mass rape and mutilation of your perceived enemy class including minors, painting this as a socially “acceptable concept” and defense of tradition and rule of law into a “socially unacceptable” concept.

The old Nazis created the word anti-Semite even though there was no such thing as a Semite and it applied to them because they also believed that they were Aryans. These neo-Nazis however do not embrace an aesthetic of Aryanism but rather an aesthetic of Bolshevism. Many of them will even admit that they are national Bolsheviks or at least sympathetic to Strasserism.

So let’s stop calling them antisemites, because we are not “Semites” and they believe that they support some imaginary “Semites” in the form of Arabs who identify as “Palestinians”. Let’s stop calling them Jew haters because they love Jews who will grovel before them and submit to their will. Is a dominatrix a “slave hater”? No, they have a perverse mutually abusive relationship. And that’s what we see here.

Back in the day of the original Nazis there were sell-out Jews who would work with the Nazis to inform on other Jews if they thought that it would help them personally survive and we’re seeing it again. So don’t let them walk away smug saying “I’m not an antisemite hahaha those people don’t know what they’re talking about!” Hit them with the truth where it hurts. They hate JUDAISM and they are the new Nazis.

Look at “Jewish” Voice for Peace. JVP is the modern day Judenräte working for the socialists who now call themselves DSA rather than NSDAP. They are the Group 13 of America.

ICYMI: In World War II the Judenräte were the Jewish councils the Nazis forced into existence inside the ghettos. Their job was to administer the Jewish population under Nazi orders, compile lists, organize labor, and ultimately help select who would be deported to the death camps. Group 13 was even worse, a notorious Jewish collaborationist unit in the Warsaw Ghetto that operated as a kind of Jewish Gestapo, running extortion, black market schemes, and actively assisting the Germans against their own people. Today JVP plays the same role for the new socialists. They provide the Jewish faces, the moral cover, and the internal sabotage so the DSA and its allies can attack Judaism while claiming they don't hate Jews.

Their anti-Zionist DSA viewpoint is potentially more destructive than just old-fashioned Jew hate, because it does have the veneer of trying to be some type of humanitarian movement. Most people think of Nazis and think of violence and killing and death, yes, but those things are also associated with communism. The thing that really sticks in their mind is the racism. So since they’re not outwardly racist, they can comfortably think in their head that they’re opponents of the Nazis, which to them is essentially interchangeable with racists.

It is worse than previous incarnations of regular Jew hate for another reason too, it deliberately tokenizes people with one Jewish parent or some nominal Jewish background and weaponizes them against their own relatives. This is kinocide in practice, a purposeful attempt to destroy family units, the same strategy we see from Hamas. Turn the child against the parent, the sibling against the sibling, the “half-Jews” and apostates against the fully committed Jews, and you fracture the people from the inside while claiming moral high ground.

They hate Judaism. Therefore they are our enemies. We are the Jewish Defense League, not the Jew Defense League. We defend Judaism, not just Jews. This distinction is important because many times the Jewish Defense League has had problems with people who are Jews or identify as Jews at least, and some people misunderstand thinking that we’re supposed to just jump in and defend every action by every Jew in the world whether it goes along with Jewish values or not. We defend Judaism, Jewish tradition, Jewish values, not individual people in their various sinful ways.

This is why the JDL is the enemy of the DSA and JVP and vice versa and always will be. Even if the DSA over time had their membership become 100 percent anti-Zionist Jews, they would still be our enemy because they oppose Judaism. From the outside it may seem confusing and you may not know who’s Jewing who anymore, but from where we stand it’s pretty cut and dry, pretty black and white.

Rabbi Kahane did not teach ethno-racial supremacy, he taught Torah. We’re not going to back you up just cause you have some Jewish blood. You don't get to use our heritage as a weapon to attack our peoplehood and traditions.

A person who converted today is more Jewish than an anti-Zionist DSA or JVP member who came from a long line of rabbis, because Judaism is not a race, but a relationship with the Creator. As an aside we should mention how the majority of these JVP/DSA types who identify as Jewish are not considered Jewish by most Jewish denominations, but that's another discussion altogether.

Do not waste endless hours debating these people. Know that they are often violent. Once you reach the point where the contradictions in their worldview become undeniable, their brains short-circuit and the mask slips. Online, name them accurately, neo-Nazis who hate Jewish tradition. In the street, be ready to defend yourself and your people. No apologies. No retreat.

Years later, looking back, Hitler admitted the truth: the only real danger to his movement came when it was still weak. In a 1933 speech he said that only one thing could have broken them—if the adversary had understood the principle from the first day and annihilated the nucleus with the utmost brutality. The common paraphrase is accurate enough: the only way to stop the Nazis was when they were still in the streets. Once the nucleus hardened into power, it was too late.

That is not ancient history. That is the operating manual for every totalitarian current, all of which inevitably target Jews.

The Democratic Socialists of America are not wearing brown shirts. They don’t need to. They are socialists with a racially targeted platform aimed squarely at Jews, only now the language has been flipped. Where the NSDAP openly pushed racial supremacy, the DSA pushes “anti-supremacy” and “anti-colonialism.”

THEY MUST BE STOPPED IN THE STREETS.

The DSA sentiment is the same as the NSDAP: Jews are not allotted equal rights, not allowed freedom of association, not allowed to express their traditional religious beliefs, or even to have their own Homeland be a State like other ethnic groups have. The right of return is demanded as demographic erasure, BDS is gospel, and “resistance by any means necessary” is waved as a moral banner.

Chapters and members have excused or celebrated the October 7th massacre, organized street actions that harassed Jews in American cities, and moved to make anti-Zionism a hard membership test, not just for the DSA as an organization but for the left as a whole. Support Israel’s right to exist or defend itself and you risk expulsion. That is not “criticism of policy.” That is a political force treating Jewish tradition as a crime.

The DSA is already digging into institutions and electoral politics. We’ve already let it get too far. The time to deal with this threat is right now, while the street energy is still visible and the polite electoral messaging has not yet fully buried the real record.

Expose them. Show the public the chants, the excuses for massacre, the resolutions that treat Jewish self-defense as an offense. Force them into the open when they are not performing for votes. One tough, intelligent Jew with a flag and a camera can do more damage to their narrative than a hundred polite statements.

The “Palestine” movement the DSA carries is not some pure indigenous uprising. Soviet hands shaped it. Defector testimony and the historical record show the KGB’s role in elevating Yasser Arafat, training cadres, forging documents to present him as Jerusalem-born rather than Egyptian, and treating the “Palestinian” cause as a useful proxy against the West and against Israel after 1967. Weapons, camps, diplomatic cover—the Soviet “Palestine” project left fingerprints that still mark the pro-”Palestine” ideology and echo in post-Soviet Russian policy today.

People still put blinders on and pretend Nazis and Communists were diametric opposites. They were not. Both rejected liberal democracy. Both practiced mass violence. They were not political opposites but rather two similar movements both competing for the same constituencies.

National Bolshevism existed for a reason—in Weimar Germany among figures like Ernst Niekisch and the Strasser wing, later in Dugin’s Fourth Political Theory that discards liberalism and keeps selected pieces of the other totalitarian currents. No horseshoe is required. The ends were never as far apart as the propaganda claimed. One point of synergy is enough. Today that point is the Jewish state. Nazi-sympathizing racists who admire Hitler and democratic socialists who claim the anti-racist mantle find common ground demanding that Jews alone forfeit sovereignty. The rest of the rhetoric is primarily differentiated only by an aesthetic difference.

Remember, you can't spell NSDAP without D,S and A.

JDL USA will keep exposing the DSA and every other formation that organizes against the Jewish right to our ancestral homeland. We believe in freedom of speech. Every individual has the right to hold and express an opinion. Freedom of speech does not cover organized hate groups intimidating religious minorities or the promotion of violence against civilians after October 7th, and it does not protect anyone from the consequences of that speech. The scum can speak legally, but we can also legally expose, document, and oppose it in the open.

WE MUST PUT THE PRESSURE ON AND KEEP IT ON.

These confrontations are why we ask for donations for protective gear—tactical vests, elbow pads, knee pads, and the rest. Too often it is one person or a small handful standing against a large, at least semi-coordinated group. If the enemies escalate, we will always defend ourselves. We stand our ground, document, and refuse to be driven off the street. Gear keeps our people safe enough to do this work.

The Drop ADL From Schools (DAFS) network, working with Chicago Educators for Palestine, Jewish Voice for Peace Chicago, and Be the Change Collaborative, just ran a three-day hate fest: the “Summer Institute: Teaching About “Antisemitism” Through a Collective Liberation Framework” / “Why We Need to #DropTheADL From Schools” workshop in Chicago.

It offered Illinois teachers professional development credit toward license renewal while training them to purge ADL materials and reframe “antisemitism” exclusively through an antizionist “collective liberation” lens. The event is part of a spreading national push. We had a mole inside attending.

The attempted recording from inside a bag proved inaudible, so the infiltrator delivered a detailed firsthand account. We withheld any advance word to protect the source. With the conference now over, the findings are public. The planned third day was shortened; organizers attempted to jam a lot of the Day Three materials into Day Two, and ended up having the third day with some extra elements they were not listed on the original flyer.

EDIT*- Day Three Update:

Day three included Nora Lester Murad speaking, author and organizer with the national Drop the ADL from Schools movement. Also featured were two organizers with CAIR-Chicago. Focus of the discussion was analysis of ADL Curricula, including complaints about the ADL Hate Map. They were selling / accepting donations for signed copies of the book “The Anti-Defamation League and the Racial State”.

Who Showed Up and Where

Attendees were primarily female, with a couple of individuals of ambiguous or fluid gender presentation, and several dressed in what they imagined a “revolutionary teacher” looks like — ordinary white-lady clothes accessorized with Palestine pins and other political symbolism. The crowd was mostly White and/or Hispanic. This was not a largely Black event although they repeatedly invoked Black historical suffering to tie in with the propalestine struggle. Some were CPS and suburban public-school teachers, some administrators, and a few pure activists with no apparent teaching connection. Several people from CTU were there. Our infiltrator reports that some of the people that identified themselves as public school teachers would not have met hygiene standards for teachers 20 years ago.

The venue shifted from Somos Casa Arte to Alderwoman Rossana Rodríguez Sánchez’s office. Side conversation noted the new location felt “much more secure” because the alderwoman has security while the Arte space did not. Organizers and attendees appeared preoccupied with the possibility of “Zionist attacks.” Chicago’s Board of Ethics has addressed related issues in advisory opinions: while there is no absolute ban in the City’s ethics laws, the Board recommends best practices to avoid even the appearance of improper use of City resources for political purposes. No one at the event raised this ethical concern.

The Atmosphere: Nervousness, Cringe and Word Salad

Humor in the presentations and among the group was nervous and painfully cringe and followed by what seemed like forced laughter. Our infiltrator could not shake the sense that the presenters were anxious the entire time — whether from fear that Zionists would shut it down or from the strain of packaging an anti-Jewish hate conference as a social-justice lesson.

Much of the talk revolved around viewing teaching through the lens of “collective liberation.” Attempts to define the term produced the expected word salad of catchphrases about various “liberation” movements around the world, many of which openly conflict with one another.

A conflating of the African American struggle with the pro Palestine fight was done repeatedly, with words like “white supremacy” and “racism” being applied to a middle eastern situation in which most of the people are frankly racially very closely related.

White people were ritually demonized (by other white people) as the embodiment of a white-supremacist system supposedly unique to the West and the United States.

ADL came under repeated attack as “not a true social justice partner.” Playing into the classical anti-Jewish trope of the “sneaky lying Jew”, even though ADL endorses a wide range of intersectional causes, its support for Zionism — even the watered-down two-state variety — is treated not only as disqualifying and offensive but as a purposely hidden trap.

They offer a purposely selective catalogue of classical “antisemitic” tropes and anti-Jew imagery (what they refer to as “far-right” imagery) while carefully omitting the torrent of pro-Palestine, antizionist, and explicit Jew-hatred that has exploded in the last few years including the October 7th massacres and all of the violence since then.

The practical effect is to equip teachers to dismiss mainstream definitions of “antisemitism” (especially those that include antizionism when it denies Jewish self-determination or applies unique double standards to Jews) as “false accusations” used to silence “truth-telling” about Palestine. Again, the “sneaky lying Jew” trope is presented in a “less offensive” word salad.

In short, it is a promotion of old hate content rebranded as anti-racism, with the modern, campus-and-street version of Jew-hatred conveniently airbrushed out of the picture.

JDL’s Position: ADL’s Liberal Blind Spot and the Real Danger

At JDL we have long said the ADL is far too liberal and far too friendly with two-staters. They are the classic libtards who believe that if they feed the right wing to the left wing, the alligator will eat them last. Reality is the opposite: they will be eaten first precisely because they have been the most prominent and visible Jewish target for the left.

This workshop is a pathetic last-ditch effort by white liberals and a handful of Jews to grasp at straws — pretending they still oppose classical “antisemitism” while actively promoting modern antizionism.

It has long been rumored in certain circles that the ADL informed on the JDL to the FBI in the early 1980s. Public records show a long history of close ADL-FBI cooperation and information-sharing against groups the ADL deemed extreme, though specific documentation regarding the rumor remains largely in the realm of activist recollection and secondary claims rather than declassified files or official sources.

The ADL is literally exactly like the people running this workshop, with the one exception of the Israel issue. They share the same progressive framework, the same eagerness to police language and thought, the same instinct to pathologize dissent as hate, and the same comfort operating inside liberal institutions.

It is amazing that they continue to stay liberal after being dumped by nearly the entire liberal side for the crime of supporting Israel. That rejection should have made it crystal clear that liberalism itself has a deep problem with Judaism, but we digress.

Modern antizionism can be considered worse than classical “antisemitism.” It demonizes anyone who holds the traditional Jewish perspective on peoplehood and self-defense. It still racializes Jews and paints us as uniquely, inherently evil — except for those Jews willing to break with their “evil tradition” and embrace the intersectional neo-Nazi “freedom fighters.” It is far more open in its public calls for degenerate violence compared to Jew hating movements of the past which at least tried to cloak themselves in some false veneer of civility. And, most importantly, this antizionist mind virus operates in an era when technology can spread these ideas to the masses internationally at zero cost. We are living in a dangerous historical moment: people are beginning to forget or minimize the Holocaust and therefore overlook the repeating signs from that era.

Yes, unfortunately, this workshop features a few Jewish names. They are shondes. They are all just like Talya Lubit — the Pittsburgh Jewess radicalized after October 7th who, with a Hamas-sympathizing co-conspirator, spray-painted “Jews 4 Palestine” and the inverted red triangle (the Hamas targeting symbol) on the Chabad of Squirrel Hill and defaced the Jewish Federation building — they have been brainwashed into self-hatred by the Arabs and Communists surrounding them. Their last-ditch attempt to remain “Jewish” consists of inserting some token commentary about classical “antisemitism” into a discussion of the modern Jew-hatred they themselves help perpetuate.

Keep an eye out. This event and its curriculum are being pushed into other cities. When it comes to yours, infiltrate it, document it, or disrupt it.

The people running these sessions are not teaching children how to recognize Jew-hatred; they are training the next generation of educators to redefine it so they can spread a repackaged version.

These were not isolated remarks; they aligned with a broader pattern of favoring expansive migrant rights, critiques of “anti-immigrant rhetoric,” and calls for systemic change that often echo left-leaning Catholic activism.

This ideological foundation matters because it helps explain the Pope’s high-profile elevation of Dorothy Day during his November 22, 2025, Jubilee Audience. In that address, Leo XIV praised Day as “a small but great American woman” who “took a stand” against inequality. He lauded her for confronting a “killing economy,” serving the poor and migrants, and channeling indignation into concrete action through houses of hospitality.

On the surface, this is a tribute to charity and stewardship. In practice, however, it lends Vatican-level legitimacy to the Catholic Worker movement she co-founded — a movement whose contemporary expressions frequently intersect with pro-Palestine activism. This is the Pope lionizing an avowed socialist before millions of believers.

The Catholic Worker network, while rooted in personalism, pacifism, and hospitality for the marginalized, has in recent years shown a pronounced alignment with Palestine solidarity efforts. Catholic Worker communities have participated in protests calling for ceasefires framed as ending “genocide” in Gaza, advocated for arms embargoes on Israel, joined demonstrations blocking weapons shipments, and collaborated with groups pushing divestment and boycott initiatives. Their publications and actions often portray Israel’s self-defense as disproportionate aggression while downplaying or contextualizing Hamas’s role and charter.

This is not fringe activity within the movement; it appears across multiple houses and aligns with a selective pacifism that critiques Western and Israeli power far more vigorously than threats from radical Islamist actors.

The connection between the Catholic Worker ethos and pro-Palestine networks is not merely coincidental. Both draw from overlapping critiques of capitalism, imperialism, and borders, framing solidarity with the “oppressed” in ways that frequently cast the Jewish state as the primary villain. When Pope Leo publicly honors Dorothy Day in this manner, it emboldens Catholics already inclined toward social justice frameworks to view anti-Zionist positions as authentically Christian and compassionate. What was once more marginal within Catholic circles gains a sense of papal approval, accelerating its normalization.

This development occurs amid a broader struggle within the Catholic Church between its right and left wings. Pope Leo XIV does not represent all Catholics; the Church contains faithful voices across the spectrum who reject both radical social justice activism and extremist reactions.

However, his emphasis on these themes is gaining traction particularly among those drawn to “third position” or horseshoe-theory thinking — where far-left critiques of power and far-right traditionalism converge in shared hostility toward Zionism, globalism, and strong Western alliances. Figures like Nick Fuentes have attracted growing numbers of young Catholic men by blending traditionalist rhetoric with explicit anti-Israel and anti-Jewish messaging, while influencers in similar orbits amplify narratives that blur legitimate faith-based concerns with corrosive ideology.

This convergence poses a serious long-term danger for Jews and their allies. It creates an urgent imperative to reach out to Catholic friends and family members who may be encountering these ideas online or in activist circles. Radicalization can happen subtly, through appealing language of justice, peace, or cultural defense.

The responsible response is to gently redirect toward respectable, solidly orthodox Catholic voices who uphold the Church’s historic teachings without veering into hatred or conspiracy. Figures like the late Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen — a towering intellectual, defender of moral clarity, and opponent of anti-Jewish vitriol in his era — offer a far better model than the demagogic legacy of Father Charles Coughlin, whose radio broadcasts descended into anti-Jewish vitriol in the 1930s.

In these dark times of skyrocketing anti-Jewish violence — from campus assaults to street attacks and worse — turning inward to our roots is essential. Faith, study, and community are the bedrock of who we are as a people.

But let us be clear on a few critical points that go deeper than the Rabbi’s message.

First, we reject the term “antisemitism.” We generally prefer to call it anti-Jewish hate. Or you may see us use the term “antisemitism” in quotes on various posts here. Why? Because the word “antisemitism” hands our enemies a cheap rhetorical weapon. It invites the nonsense claim that “Palestinians are Semites too, so how can they be antisemitic?” That argument is historically illiterate and a deliberate distraction. The term “antisemitism” was coined in the 19th century specifically to describe hatred of Jews — not a linguistic category that includes Arabs or anyone else who speaks a Semitic language. We won’t let our enemies redefine reality or dilute the unique hatred directed at the Jewish people. Call it what it is: anti-Jewish hate.

Second, and more importantly, Jewish tradition is not limited to lighting candles, studying Gemara, or building “more light” through community service. Our sacred texts are filled with explicit calls to physical courage, self-defense, and militant resistance against the enemies of our people. Torah is not just prayer — it is action.

Look at the sources:

• In Genesis 14, our forefather Avraham does not respond to the kidnapping of his nephew Lot with “thoughts and prayers”. He arms 318 trained men and launches a daring night raid to rescue him and defeat the enemy kings. That is the model of Jewish leadership — not passivity.

• When Amalek attacks the Jewish people right after the Exodus (Exodus 17), Moshe (Moses) orders Yehoshua (Joshua) to lead the fight while he holds up his hands in prayer. The victory comes through both spiritual strength and armed combat. Later, the Torah commands us explicitly: “Remember what Amalek did to you… you shall blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven — you shall not forget” (Deuteronomy 25:17-19). This is not a suggestion for polite debate. It is a divine mandate to never forget and never again allow such enemies to rise unchecked.

• In the Book of Esther, when Haman plots the total destruction of the Jews, Mordechai and Esther do not tell the people to simply “create more light.” They secure royal permission for the Jews to arm themselves, organize, and strike back — killing 75,000 of their would-be murderers in self-defense. That is the true spirit of Purim: Jewish power exercised without apology.

• Throughout Tanakh — from Yehoshua’s conquests to King David’s wars — the Jewish people survive and thrive not by ignoring threats, but by confronting them head-on when necessary.

Studying these stories is vital. But studying them alone is not enough. The heroes of our tradition did not merely read about their ancestors’ battles — they lived them. They picked up swords, formed militias, and defended Jewish lives and honor in the real world. If we are truly embracing Jewish tradition today, we really must do the same. Turning inward without turning outward to defend our people is incomplete. Prayer without preparedness is not the full Torah.

This Passover season, as we retell the story of our liberation from Egypt, let us remember that freedom did not come from passive hope alone. It came because our ancestors acted — they followed Moshe, they left Egypt, they fought when attacked. The same is true now.

These voices, worried about how we appear to outsiders, end up projecting exactly the weakness and galut (exile) mentality that leaves Jews vulnerable. They ignore the clear Torah command and the lessons of our history.

Jewish law is pretty unambiguous. Sanhedrin 72a teaches: “If someone comes to kill you, rise up and kill him first.”

When threats are real and imminent, effective self-defense — which sometimes requires force — is not only permitted but a mitzvah. From the Maccabees to the Warsaw Ghetto to the IDF, Jewish survival has always depended on strength paired with wisdom, not passive hope.

At the same time, we at JDL USA have always rejected stupid, reckless, or counterproductive actions that deliver no benefit and only harm the Jewish people. Real Jewish power must be organized, strategic, and focused on protecting our communities.

Actions like the recent alleged firebomb plot — which targeted a home where a one-year-old child lived — cross every line of responsibility. We do not stand for anything that risks harming children. Such reckless moves give our enemies exactly the ammunition they crave to call Jews “baby killers,” while achieving nothing positive for our people.

Rabbi Meir Kahane himself understood this deeply. In his 1984 Strength and Sanity campaign, he made it a priority to rid the movement of the “crazies” and undisciplined elements so the Jewish Defense League could return to its true purpose: serious, collective protection of the Jewish people. He insisted on discipline, responsibility, and actions that actually strengthen the entire nation rather than endanger it through individual recklessness.

Some point to past incidents of bombings or shootings in the broader orbit of JDL in the 1970s and 1980s and assume they represent Rav Kahane’s teachings. In reality, those were lone individuals acting on their own — often going against the very disciplined, unified approach he demanded in the Strength and Sanity campaign.

Interestingly enough, literally every left-wing movement/organization has some amount of political violence and/or arrests tied to it but yet their former members are still considered acceptable and in some cases even electable, and their movements are not widely condemned as extremist or terrorist.

When it comes to so-called extremism, it's like everything else: No Jews, No News, it seems…

Kahane taught every Jew to be ready and proud, but he demanded we act in ways that build lasting Jewish power, not fleeting emotional gestures.

That is precisely what JDL USA continues today.

We get Jews trained in legal concealed carry (CCL), organize visible pride and deterrence that actually reduces antisemitism on the streets, push back against anti-Israel measures in City Halls, provide maot chitim for those in need, and study Torah so our physical readiness is grounded in moral and strategic clarity.

On July 14, 2023 — nearly three months before Hamas’s barbaric October 7 massacre in Israel — a Syrian national carried out a calculated, high-firepower ambush on unsuspecting Fargo, North Dakota police officers responding to a routine traffic accident. This was no random shooting. It was a terrorist-style assault straight out of the jihadist playbook: heavy weaponry, tactical planning, and a clear intent to maximize casualties among first responders and civilians. Yet the story barely registered as national news.

While the Biden administration and legacy media obsessively covered narratives that fit their political script, this attack by Mohamad Barakat was quickly memory-holed. For JDL USA, it is a textbook example of how political correctness and fear of “Islamophobia” accusations have endangered American lives.

This story was so overlooked that I might not have heard about it, save for monitoring police body cam footage channels on YouTube regularly. When I clicked to watch the video, titled “Gunman opens fire on cops at point blank”, I was expecting to see something like a typical violent criminal who escalates an arrest situation and ends up in a shootout.

However, I was shocked by what I saw instead.

This is not the video of an arrest that escalated into a shootout. This is not a video of gang violence. This is a video of a premeditated, cold-blooded brutal terrorist attack on American soil on unwitting American citizens.

From the very beginning of the video the scene is very calm and I kept thinking to myself “how on Earth does this car accident escalate into a shootout?”

Then I realized the car accident doesn't escalate into a shootout. It just provides someone with people to shoot.

The Attack: Heavy Firepower on Unwitting Targets

At 3:04 p.m. on that Friday afternoon, at the intersection of 25th Street and Ninth Avenue South in Fargo, Barakat opened fire from his vehicle with a .223 Remington Anderson Manufacturing AM-15 AR-15-style semi-automatic rifle equipped with a binary trigger and double-stacked high-capacity magazines. He also carried two handguns and wore a tactical vest. The officers — responding to an unrelated fender-bender — had no warning. The police were merely trying to gather witnesses of the automobile collision that had just occurred and were not at all prepared for shots to be fired at that moment.

Barakat killed 23-year-old Fargo Police Officer Jake Wallin with a single shot. He critically wounded Officers Andrew Dotas and Tyler Hawes. Civilian bystander Karlee Koswick, who had been involved in the crash, was also shot and injured as she tried to flee. Only the heroic actions of Officer Zach Robinson stopped the carnage: he returned fire, disabled Barakat’s rifle, and ultimately killed the attacker after a running gunfight. Robinson fired 31 rounds; 21 struck Barakat.

This was not impulsive violence. Surveillance footage and digital evidence showed Barakat methodically preparing for days. He handled firearms, reviewed trail camera footage, deleted files, packed a suitcase and rifle case, and even secured his apartment door with a strap to detect intruders. He visited a shooting range that morning, bought supplies, and circled the accident scene for 15 minutes before striking.

His vehicle contained a massive arsenal: seven additional guns, more than 1,800 rounds of ammunition, a homemade grenade, three gasoline containers, two propane tanks rigged with explosive compound similar to Tannerite, and materials for further bombs. Investigators believe he was casing larger crowds — including the Downtown Fargo Street Fair and Red River Valley Fair — and may have used the police response as a diversion for an even deadlier mass-casualty attack.

The Perpetrator: Syrian National, Naturalized Citizen, No Clear Motive… or Was There?

Mohamad Barakat, 37, arrived in the United States in 2012 as an asylum seeker from Syria. He became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2019. He had no criminal record and legally purchased his weapons. He lived as a loner with no social media presence and no known ties to Fargo’s Muslim community. Yet the facts raise red flags that official statements have downplayed: Barakat was observed holding a Quran the night before the attack. His search history included Syrian refugees, immigration arrests, drone strikes in Syria, “kill fast,” “explosive ammo,” “incendiary rounds,” mass shooting events, and local crowd gatherings.

And of course it's inevitably time to say the line:

“Law enforcement had prior contacts with the shooter”— including tips about his gun collection, mental state, and alleged slurs — but took no preventive action.

A woman (reportedly from Minnesota) contacted authorities and expressed concern that Mohamad Barakat could become a mass shooter. According to unsealed search warrant affidavits and multiple news reports summarizing them, she stated that Barakat:

• Had a significant number of firearms and ammunition.

• Was mentally unstable.

• Had been uttering racial slurs and LGBTQ slurs (also described as anti-LGBTQ slurs or anti-gay slurs in some accounts).

In a country still reeling from October 7’s horrors, where Hamas and its ideological allies celebrate the slaughter of innocents with heavy firepower, the pattern is now, in hindsight, unmistakable. Barakat’s ambush mirrored the October 7 style: surprise, overwhelming armament, targeting the unprepared, and a willingness to die for the cause. Whether explicitly directed by a terror group or self-radicalized, the result was the same — American blood spilled by a Syrian immigrant radicalized in the shadow of jihadist ideology.

The Travesty: Why This Story Was Buried Nationwide

This attack deserved wall-to-wall coverage. It should have been the lead story on every network: a naturalized Syrian citizen ambushing police with military-grade firepower, nearly unleashing a massacre at public events. Instead, it vanished from national headlines within days. Mainstream outlets ran brief reports and moved on. There was no sustained outrage, no congressional hearings, no deep dives into immigration vetting failures.

Why? Political correctness — especially under the Biden administration. Stories involving Muslim perpetrators or immigration risks do not fit the narrative that “diversity is our strength” and that vetting asylum seekers from terror-hotspot countries like Syria is somehow bigoted. The same media that spent years amplifying every police-involved shooting when it fit an anti-law-enforcement agenda suddenly lost interest when the shooter was a Syrian national whose actions screamed Islamist-inspired terror.

Jihad Watch, FrontPage Magazine, and other truth-tellers immediately flagged this as a potential jihad attack. Conservative voices warned that Barakat’s background, arsenal, and preparation fit the “lone wolf” model encouraged by Al-Qaeda and ISIS: target law enforcement first, then civilians. Yet the Biden-era DOJ and FBI — laser-focused on “domestic extremism” from the right — treated this as just another “shooting” with “no clear motive.” Americans were left in the dark.

It is a national travesty that most citizens never heard the name Mohamad Barakat or learned how close Fargo came to a bloodbath. While October 7 rightly shocked the world and exposed radical Islam’s global threat, the Fargo ambush — happening right here on U.S. soil just weeks earlier — was memory-holed. This selective silence endangers every American. It tells would-be terrorists that their ideology can be shielded by political correctness. It tells law enforcement and civilians that their lives matter less than avoiding uncomfortable truths about immigration and radicalization.
